Established in 1967, the Ojai Valley Museum was established in order to preserve, conserve, protect, and exhibit the relevant history, culture, and art of the City of Ojai and the Ojai Valley. The museum is housed in a National Landmark, Spanish style, 1919 structure that was origianlly the Catholic church building in Ojai. The Permanent Gallery houses Chumash Indian artifacts and also describes the history of Ojai with photographs and text. The Rotating Gallery exhibits an equal number of 6 weeks shows during a calendar year highlighting the art, hitory, or culture of the region.
